The Wife, also known as The Trophy Wife, is the offspring of Wife S1 and Cherry Wine. It’s a beauty inside and out and eases you into a calm, focused state. The aroma and flavor of The Wife is eclectic, offering a sweet mix of berry and cherry that tapers off with a hint of skunk at the tail end of your drag. Additional subtle flavors include cheese and earthiness, which balance out the fruity overtones.
Buds are dense and small yet vibrant with near-gold pistils and trichomes that match the bright green of overall nugs. The resin is thick and syrupy.
In addition to its good looks and wondrous terpene profile, The Wife has a 20:1 CBD to THC ratio. This hemp strain can hit up to 15-19% CBD.
Wife S1
Wife S1 is a premium hemp strain originally hailing from The Wife itself. It’s the reversed phenotype coming in at 20% CBD at its highest testing. The reverse-engineering means more CBD in The Wife, and it passes on its skunky, cheesy terpene profile. Cherry undertones are also a staple for this strain, and is stronger in its progeny.
Taking the best out of the original The Wife and passing it on once crossbred, it also offers a quick 8-week flowering time to its offspring. Wife S1 is a supreme giver: expect it to manifest high yields.
Cherry Wine
Cherry Wine is the offspring of The Wife and Charlotte’s Cherries, thus its intense cherry aroma, sprinkled with undertones of pine, skunk and black pepper. Clearly, this parent brings out the spectrum of fruitiness that delights many with The Wife. Clearly, the terpenes are especially potent.
And since it has a 50:1 CBD to THC ratio, you can expect high CBD in its offspring depending on climate and harvesting. Cherry Wine overall has a balanced cannabinoid profile, which is apparent in its outstanding looks that The Wife inherited. Specifically, it’s coated in tiny, sticky, diamond-like trichomes amidst its green, gold, and peach foliage.
Buds grow dense and vary from small to medium. When grown from female hemp seeds, plants should produce little to no seeds.
The Best of Wife S1 x Cherry Wine
The Wife inherits the best parts of Cherry Wine and Wife S1 that establish it as an iconic premium hemp strain.
It pulls from its parents a quick flowering time, fluffy small and vivacious buds with potent CBD and stimulating terpene profile that can’t be denied.
All of this contributes to effects that are acutely powerful. And you can bring that out with our cultivation tips.
The Wife Strain Cultivation
The Wife takes eight weeks to flower and can be grown both indoors and outdoors. For outdoor growing, be ready to harvest in early or mid-October as it’s photoperiod-dependent.
The Wife’s terpene and CBD potency depend on proper climate control and harvest techniques. Fortuna offers consultation services if you need guidance for optimizing your grow of The Wife. Uses and Benefits of The Wife
The common method for consuming The Wife is via smoking or vaping the flower. Given the exquisite terpene profile, dry herb vaping allows you to maximize not just taste, but also your experience with its effects.
Known as a highly relaxing strain, it can provide subtle changes like euphoria, acute focus, and an energy boost if you’re sensitive enough. This may not be best for those seeking a productivity strain, but it’s a solid choice for winding down and feeling more chipper.
It may help with chronic pain, restlessness, inflammation, muscle spasms, nausea and migraines. Expect hours of relief thanks to the Wife’s long-lasting effects.
Terpenes that contribute to these results are myrcene, a theorized sedative and pain reliever, and caryophyllene, which may help with anxiety, depression, and inflammation.
Relax with The Wife
The Wife is a delightfully aromatic hemp strain that produces beautiful and potent buds that flower in no time. It brings the best out of its curious parentage of Wife S1 and Cherry Wine, helping you unwind with a pain-free smile on your face for hours.

September 18, 2021 at 10:29 amFifth week of flowering….my plants are 12 inches tall! Outside grow….lower end of the San Joaquin Valley in California. Very hot climate. These plants are Bonsais size plants…flowers are smaller than a button on a shirt.
Prior grows in same soil conditions , water and fertilization schedule produced very high yields. Sad!
